BRIDE IS KILLED IN AUTO WRECK
SAVANNAH, (AP) - An Atlanta bride of two days, Mrs. James B. Herndon, 26, was killed and her husband seriously injured near Darlen, Ga.
Sheriff A.S. Poppell of McIntosh county said Herndon's car collided head-on with another machine during a heavy rainstorm and both cars sideswiped a truck.
The couple on their honeymoon were said to have been en route to visit relatives in South Carolina. They had been married Saturday in St. Augustine.
Mrs. Herndon was the former Miss Emma B. Huiet, sister of Ben T. Huiet, former mayor pro-tem of Atlanta and one-time Georgia public service commissioner.
