Grace James Wooten, widow of Cecil Walker Wooten, age 97, passed away Thursday, November 14th at the Hospice House of Laurens County.
She was born in Conestee, SC and was a daughter of the late Rev. George James and Dora Smith James and the last surviving of their nine children.
Mrs. Wooten was retired with fifty years of service at Clinton Mills; a member of Calvary Baptist Church and was faithful to her Christian faith.
She is survived by her son Bobby Cecil Wooten (Joyce) of Waterloo; her daughter-in-law Melody Brown Wooten of Laurens, and former daughter-in-law, Patty W. Dellinger (Glenn); seven grandchildren, Deborah Owen Zetrouer (Everett), Toni Wooten Garrett (Caroll), Cecil L. Wooten (Vickie), Ruby W. Dellinger (Paul), Susan W. Bradford, and Chrystal Worthington; thirteen great-grandchildren and fourteen great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a son James R. Wooten and a grandson James Walker Wooten.
A memorial service will be held at Calvary Baptist Church on Saturday, November 16th at 2:00 p.m.. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
The family will be at the home of her granddaughter, Debbie and Everett Zetrouer, 125 Fair Drive, Clinton, SC 29325.
