Donald B. Willy of Delphi, passed away on Oct. 3, 2016 at White Oak Health Campus, Legacy Unit in Monticello.

He was born in Logansport, Indiana on July 10, 1930 to the late Eugene P. and Mary (Appleton) Willy. Don was a 1948 graduate of Camden High School and 1950 graduate of Indiana College of Mortuary Science in Indianapolis.

He married Wilma Jean McCloskey on Feb. 3, 1951 in Indianapolis and she survives.

After graduating from Indiana College of Mortuary Science, Mr. Willy worked at McCloskey Hamilton Funeral Home in Logansport. He began his career with Farm Bureau in Delphi from 1951-1955. He retired in August 1985 as manager of the Carroll and White County offices.

He served on the Lilly Foundation Board and was a REMC Director. He was also a member of the Delphi Oddfellows Lodge #28.

Don enjoyed camping, and loved spending time with his grandchildren and family.

Along with his wife, Jean, he is survived by his children: Diane Baker (Brad) of Monticello, Douglas M. Willy (Stephanie) of Delphi and Denise Craig (Jeff) of Delphi and sister-in-law, Carol Willy of Kokomo; 2 grandsons, 5 granddaughters, 2 great granddaughters and 3 great grandsons.

He was preceded by his brothers: Bud and Dean Willy.

Visitation will be at Davidson Funeral Home, Delphi from 4-8:00 p.m. on Oct. 6, 2016 with Rosary at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday; and one hour prior to the 10:00 a.m. service on Friday, at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. on Friday with Father Bob Williams and Father Ambrose Ziegler officiating. Burial will follow in IOOF Memorial Garden, Pittsburg, Indiana
