Grace Evangeline (Wire) Comer Beasley, 97, of Overland Park, Kansas, died on September 30, 2016 at her residence. She was born on February 7, 1919 in McKinney, Texas, the daughter of Frank Wire and Anna (Johnson) Wire. She was the youngest of four girls. The family later moved to Joplin, Missouri where she graduated from Joplin High School in 1936. She worked for Halls in Kansas City, Missouri for a number of years. In 1943, she married Joseph E. Comer and was married to him until his death in 1982. She then worked at Prairie Village Public Works for 27 years. It was there she met Wallace Beasley and they were married in 1984. She retired shortly after the marriage. She was a member of The Village Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Edith, Ella and Mildred; and her husbands. She is survived by her daughter, son, four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Graveside service: 11:00 a.m. October 8, 2016 at Mount Moriah Cemetery. Arrangements: Mount Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, Kansas City, Missouri.
