Mark G. Norbury, 78, of south-central Kansas City, 7541 Olive St. died Friday at Park Lane Medical Center. He was born in Springfield, Mo., and had lived in the Kansas City area since 1928. He was a mechanic for Tri-City Construction Co. and later for Knopke Bros. Contractors Supply Co. until he retired in 1970. He was a member of the Broadview Christian Church, where he was an elder. He was a member of the Grandview Masonic Lodge, the Grandview and Lake Lotawana Shriners Club, the Scottish Rite Bodies, and the Arrarat Shrine Temple. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Mary E. Norbury of the home; four sons, Terry P. Norbury, San Francisco, Joe L. Norbury, Kansas City, Kan., Tim Norbury, Grandview, and Steven R. Norbury, Ruidoso, New Mexico; two daughters, Mrs. Martha S. Schmidt, Independence, Mrs. Barbara J. Bellamy, Denver; a brother, Lee Norbury, Columbia, Mo.; a sister, Mrs. Jean Miller, Norfolk, Va.; and 12 grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Floral Hills Chapel; burial in Floral Hills Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the chapel. The family suggests contributions to the Shriner's Crippled Children's Home.
