Robert "Bob" Stivers, Jr. age 84 of Columbia, KY went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 6:20 PM at his home. Bob was born in Henry County, Kentucky on Sept.7, 1932 He was the oldest child of Paul and Lena Mae Edrington Stivers, Sr. He was retired from the Kentucky State Police as Sgt. on July 31, 1982, after 25 years of distinguished service. He was a Christian and a devoted member of Egypt Christian Church. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Henry County. He and Marilyn enjoyed traveling across the U.S. during their many years together. He loved life and loved spending time with his family and dear friends who will miss him. He is survived by his wife of 25 years. One son and one daughter. One brother and one sister , three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Two nieces and three nephews and a host of family members and friends. Funeral service Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. CT at Egypt Christian Church. Clergy officiating Bro. Paul Patton & Rev. Steve Pescosolido Interment in Columbia Cemetery Honors will be provide by Kentucky State Police Honor Guard during visitation and at graveside service Visitation will be at Egypt Christian Church after 4:00 PM CT Tuesday and after 7:00 AM CT Wednesday at Egypt Christian Church until the time of service.
