Ila Mae Rector, 83, of 363 Vaughn Road., Union, widow of Charles L. Rector died Thursday, Dec. 7, 2006 at her home.
Mrs. Rector was born in Chester County, Feb. 17, 1923, a daughter of the late William Paul Vaughn and Mamie Gault Vaughn Boughman. She graduated from Kelly Pickney High School and retired from J.P. Stevens- Jonesville Plant. Mrs. Rector was a member of Foster's Chapel United Methodist Church.
Survivors are: three daughters, Brenda Gene Franklin and Jo Anne Kelley, both of Union, and Jamie Gilliland of Pacolet; four sisters, Louise Kirby of Union, Virginia Beers, Frances Craig and Donna Harris all of Spartanburg; three brothers, James Vaughn and Paul "Cook" Vaughn both of Union, and Harold Vaughn of Jonesville; three grandsons, Jeff Rector, Phillip Gregory and wife Kadana, Jason Gregory and wife Bobbie Ann all of Union; and six greatgrandsons. Mrs. Rector was predeceased by three children, Charles Rector Jr., Mary Charles Rector and Mary Kim Rector; a sister, Mittie Ruth Boughman, and two brothers, R.D. Vaughn and Bobby D. Vaughn.
Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, 2006, at Gilead Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Keith Sweat and the Rev. Randy Smith.
Active pallbeares will be Steve Mullinax, Mike Rector, Jimmy Moss, Ernie Boughman, Tommy Rector and Dewey Petty Jr.
The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 tonight, Friday, Dec. 8, 2006, at the Holcombe Jonesville Chapel.
