Day, Andy, age 82, of Jacksonburg, passed away Thursday, September 29, 2016 at Garden Manor Retirement Community. He was born January 13, 1934 in Hazel Green, KY to David and Elsie (Nickell) Day. He was an aluminum and heliarc welder for Magnode until his retirement in 1996. He then opened his own business as Day’s Portable Welding. Andy was a member of Poasttown First Church of God. Andy is survived by his wife of 64 years, Edna Mae (Keith) Day; son, Mickel A. (Pamela) Day; daughter, Juquita Ann Day (Aaron Boehm); grandchildren, Preston and Justin Brewer, Vanessa Hause, Mickel, Matthew and John Day, Shane Day; 15 great- grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Bobby Rae Day; daughter, Elsie Mae (Day) Brewer; brother, David Day; sisters, Aileen (Day) Selby, Marigold (Day) Swiger, Pearley Day and Virginia Day. A Receiving of Friends will be held Wednesday, October 5, 2016 from 9:00-11:00 am at Poasttown First Church of God. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 11:00 am at the church with Pastor Kenny Brewer officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Avenue, Dayton, OH 45420 or Poasttown First Church of God, 6376 Germantown Road, Middletown, OH 45042.
