Andrew J. Rutledge, 87, of 1312 Chestnut St. died Sunday, Nov. 30, 1997, at Morton Terrace.

Born Aug. 19, 1910, in Washington to Andrew and Christine Larcher Rutledge, he married Edna Brown in Pekin. She died Oct. 23, 1972, in Tremont.

He also was preceded in death by one son, Carl in October 1997, five brothers, two sisters, four grandsons and one stepdaughter.

Surviving are one son, Andrew of Pekin; two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Doris) Baron of Bradley and Margaret Darlene Magee of Orange Park, Fla.; two stepsons, John and Marvin Henrichs, both of Pekin; one stepdaughter, Carol Kerker of Creve Coeur; one sister, Mrs. Melvin (Mary) Renner of Pekin; and his friend, D. Pearl Kelly, with whom he made his home for the past 25 years.

He worked at Corn Products Corp. as an operator for 40 years, retiring in 1973. He was a member of the Pioneer Club, Pekin Eagles Aerie 1869 and Pekin Moose Lodge 916.

Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens.
