Death of Miss Kathleen Westlake
Yesterday, Nov. 15, occurred the death of Miss Kathleen Westlake of Rochester, a former Livonia resident, after an illness of many months.
Miss Westlake was born in Avoca, May 16, 1890, daughter of Alice Trimmer Westlake and the late George Westlake. When she was a young child the family moved to Livonia and lived for many years on Big Tree street in the house now occupied by the Robert Elliott family. After her father's death and her mother's marriage to A. C. Ganung, Miss Westlake entered the Genesee hospital in Rochester. Since her graduation from the hospital, until overtaken by illness, she had been employed in Rochester as an industrial nurse.
She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Alice Ganung, of Lima, one sister, Mrs. Fulton Darrow, of Avon, a niece, Mrs. Eleanor Salyer, of Elmira, and two nephews, Kingdon Darrow, with the U. S. Navy in the Pacific area, and Reginald Darrow of Rochester.
Funeral service will be held at the Reed funeral home, Livonia, tomorrow (Friday) afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial will be in Union cemetery.
