Sept. 6, 1826 at Greene, the daughter of William Ashley and Altha (Crane)
Bascom. Prior to her marriage she taught school at Amelia, Clermont County,
near Cincinnati. At intervals during her married life she was very much handi-
capped by poor health. She died February 17 , l892, at the home on Park Ave. in
Warren. Elvira had two brothers and one sister:
Wales Bascom, b. Feb. 28, 1825; d. May 26, 1850, unmarried.
Alice Bascom, b. Mar. 27, 1828; d. Mar. ik, 1911, unmarried.
Reynolds R. Bascom, b. Mar. 6, 1833; m. Lucy Andrews; d. May l6, 1901.
