James E. Treece went to be with the Lord on Dec. 13, 2006. He was born on July 28, 1926 to Walter and Gertrude (Dixon) Treece. James married Betty Kint on July 29, 1950. She preceded him in death on Nov. 14, 2006. Jim's father, Walter; his mother, Gertrude; a brother, Glen Treece and his sister, Lula-Bell Griffin also preceded him in death. Jim is survived by his son, Donald J. Treece and wife, Vickie; sister, Ada Foster; sister-in-law, Freddie Peters; grandchildren, Donna Everett and husb., Kevin, James Chiles and wife Paige, and Jeni Treece. He is also survived by 6 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Jim retired from AT&T. He enjoyed working with his hands. His hobbies were woodworking and gardening. People would stop by the house just to admire his beautiful garden. James was a very loving husband to Betty for 56 years. He was also a very special Dad who loved with tenderness, patience and kindness, and shared his love for God. Services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, Dec. 16, 2006 at Mercer Adams Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. We will miss you, Dad. MERCER-ADAMS
