From the biography of Alice Byrne Hinshaw found on her memory page on familysearch.org:
Alice Byrne was born 18 October 1860 in Slaterville, Weber, Utah Territory to Moses and Catherine Cardon Byrne.
Alice married Thomas Hinshaw on 27 September 1881 in Piedmont, Uinta, Wyoming at the age of 20. Thomas was born 8 February 1837 in Glasgow, Lanark, Scotland to Andrew and Helen Watt Hinshaw. He was 44 years old when they married.
They had four children, one girl and three boys, all born in Piedmont, Uinta, Wyoming. Charles Frances was born in 1882 and died 9 June 1898; Helen Catharine was born 5 October 1883; William Edwin was born 5 May 1885; and Albert Thomas was born 8 March 1887 and died 1 September 1887.
Thomas died on 12 July 1893 in Piedmont, Uinta, Wyoming at the age of 56. From the obituary on 15 July 1893 in the Evanston Register: Thomas Hinshaw had charge of the pumps in Piedmont and Bridger (Wyoming). He made trips between these points on a railroad velocipede. At the time named, he was out on the main line when he was overtaken by a freight train. He discovered the train in time to dismount and in all probability could have saved himself, but dreading the possible consequences of the trainmen by leaving his machine on the track, he stopped a moment and tried to remove it. This he had not time to do. The engine pilot struck him killing him instantly. Mr. Hinshaw was a fireman on the road and lost a leg a few years ago in a wreck in Piedmont at the time engineer Louis Carr received his death wounds. He always carried his crutches with him. He was buried in Piedmont.
Alice was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on 28 September 1929 at the age of 68. She died on 1 January 1931 in Ogden, Weber,Utah at the age of 70. She was buried in the Byrne Cemetery, Piedmont, Uinta, Wyoming.
