"She was born October 16, 1878 in Fairfield, Illinois the daughter of Joseph Francis Smith and Nancy Young Smith. She married Dr. Robert Seaman Allison, July 12, 1905 in Coffeyville, Kansas.
"She was known in the sixties for her miniature oil paintings of flowers, having started to paint when she was 80. She was active in the Red Cross during World War I. She worked for the Community Chest and was a member of St. Mark's hospital Guild. She was the oldest member of St. Mark's Cathedral.
"She leaves her daughters, Elizabeth Mary and Mrs. Richard S. (Virginia) Bennett; granddaughters, . . . ; great-grandchildren; . . . ; she was preceded in death by her husband, May 21, 1957, a son, Robert S. Allison Jr., a grandson, Richard Wallace Bennett and a granddaughter, Virginia Ann Bennett.
"Graveside services will be held Wednesday, October 3, 1984 at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 1342 East 500 South. Mrs. Allison expressed the desire that in lieu of flowers, contributions be sent to the Humane Society of Utah, 4613 South 4000 West, West Valley City, Utah, 84120. Funeral Directors: Eastman's Evans & Early Mortuary."
