BENNIE L. BLEDSOE

COLUMBIA Bennie Lee Bledsoe, 76, of 3002 Rosewood Drive, husband of Mrs. Jeanette Livingston Bledsoe, died Tuesday. Born in Saluda County, he was a son of the late Berryman Russell and Belle Boone Bledsoe.

He was a retired foreman of South Carolina Electric & Gas Co., was a member of the Amateur Radio Club and Calvary Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife; are two sons, Bennie L. Jr. and James D. Bledsoe, both of Columbia; two daughters, Mrs. Betty J. Parker of Summerville and Miss Sandra R. Bledsoe of Columbia; and five sisters, Mrs. Genevieve Bowers and Mrs. Ellie Ballard, both of Columbia, Mrs. Scott Allen and Mrs. Ada Banks, both of Saluda and Mrs. Norma Bennett of California; grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Services were at 3:30 p.m. today at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devme Street Chapel with the Rev. George E. Turbeville officiating. Burial was in Green-lawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers were Lonnie Craft, Monroe Sharpo, Henry Young-blood, Luthe Lewis, Robert Smith and Hubert Nations. The family is at the home of a son, Bennie Bledsoe Jr., 7602 Burdell Drive.
