Mrs. Edythe Lorraine Billue Miller, age 90, formerly of Irwinton, passed away Friday, September 9, 2016 in a Spalding County Healthcare Facility. Mrs. Miller was a native and lifelong resident of Irwinton. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Isaac Franklin Billue and the late Emma Hartley Billue, and was also preceded in death by her husband, Mr. John William Miller. Mrs. Miller was Retired as a School Teacher from the Wilkinson County School System, and was known to have made a positive impact in the lives of her students over the years through her daily devotionals and firm beliefs in living for Christ. Mrs. Miller was a member of the New Hope Baptist Fellowship.


Survivors include her children: John Wade Miller (& Jill) of Griffin, & Lynn Miller Sims of Savannah ; Grandchildren – Jack William Miller, Joshua Loren Miller, Edye Cranford (& Jeff), Whitney Millwood, & Jonathan Millwood ; Great Grandchildren – Brayden Cranford, Carolina Cranford, & Savannah Cranford ; Sister – Frankie B. Sapp (& Herbert); Brother – Avys D. Billue (& Joyce) ; & Brothers-in-law and Sisters-in-law – Jack E. Miller, Ann M. Colston, Lucy E. Miller, Charles S. Miller (& Joyce), & Sue Dettmer (& Ron) ; and numerous other relatives.


Funeral Services for Mrs. Edythe Miller will be conducted on Sunday, September 11, 2016 at 3:30pm in the Irwinton Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Ebenezer Methodist Church Cemetery in Toomsboro. The family will receive friends at the Irwinton Baptist Church on Sunday, September 11, 2016 from 2pm until 3pm.
