Mrs. Jackson was a life-long resident of Wilkinson County and was a graduate of Berry College in Rome. She was a school teacher with the Wilkinson County Board of Education retiring with 32 years of service. Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by her husband John Boyd Jackson, Sr. (married June 30, 1951) and was a member of Toomsboro Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son Rev. Johnny Jackson, Jr. (Kathy) of Toomsboro and her daughter Susan Brooks (Charles) of Macon, a brother Avys Billue of Augusta, two sisters Edythe Miller of Griffin and Frankie Sapp of Irwinton, 5 grandchildren, Chip Brooks (Bonnie), Blake Brooks (Bailey), Beth Thompson (Chris), Boyd Jackson and Ben Jackson, 1 great grandchild Charlee Brooks.
