WARREN, Ohio - ELizabeth "Bess" Stoudt, 85, former resident of Clearfield, died Friday, Oct. 20, 1995, at the Community Skilled Nursing Center in Warren, Ohio.
Born Sept. 26, 1910, in Clearfield, she was the daughter of the late Francis Leo and Christiana (Shope) Ball.
As a young woman, Mrs. Stoudt was employed as a nurse.
Throughout her lifetime she had lived in Clearfield, Pittsburgh, and Warren. While in Clearfield, she was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, and was a member of the Clearfield County Historical Society.
She is survived by two granddaughters, Susan Graham of Warren and Dawn McCandless of Trout Run; and a sister, Mrs. Ruth M. Hazen of Kenmore, N.Y.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry L. Stoudt; a daughter, Peggy L Mullen Ruby; four sisters, Grace Fisher, Mabel Lansberry, Mary L. Ball, and Anna Giebel; and three brothers, Elmer, James and Frank Ball.
A graveside service will be held at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Clearfield on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Brian Vasey officiating.
Interment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery.
There will be no public visitation.
