[p45 Stoutsville Clippings] - Dec 26, 1892 - NEFF- GEHRETT--MATZ-STEEL
The residence of commissioner H. W. GEHRETT, was the scene of a double-wedding on Sunday, 15 Dec 1892. The contracting parties being Alonzo A. NEFF and Miss Dell GEHRETT, daughter of H. W. GEHRETT, and Noah C. MATZ and Miss Dollie STEEL, all of Clearcreek twp. Promptly at 12 o'clock the wedding party entered the parlor and the ceremony was performed by Rev. J. C. MCLAUGHLIN, of the U. B. church in a neat and impressive manner, In the presence of about fifty invited guests. Immediately after the ceremony and usual congratulations, all set down to a most excellent dinner to which we all did ample justice. About 2 o'clock the newly married couples departed for Circleville, thence to Columbus and other points with the best wishes of all for their safe return and a long and happy marriage. Both couples were the recipients of many valuable and useful presents.
[Nell Gehrett and Dollie Steel were 1st cousins.]
