Her first husband, John C. Welch, born in New York, died between the recording of the June 1870 and June 1880 Census documents. Together, they had their Son William December 7, 1872, and daughter Sarah in December 1869. Sarah is in the 1870 Census but not in the 1880 Census. I have not been able to locate her, nor her father's location. If anyone has additional information on either Sarah or John C. Welch, please contact me.
Georgia's second husband was Dr. Warren M. Duke. He died of Pneumonia, which was often uncurable in the early 1900s. I have not found evidence of Dr. Duke and Mrs. Duke having any children together.
Mrs. Duke died in her home on Roswell Street of Pneumonia as indicated by her out of copyright obituary which is attached.
