Mrs. Ernest R. Slaughter
Mrs. Lucretia Alma Slaughter, wife of Ernest R. Slaughter, died Tuesday at her home, 134 Linden street.

She was a member of the Second Baptist Church and of the Queen Esther Club of the same church.

In addition to her husband she is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Catherine E. Lawson, this city, and Jessie M., Alma Mae, and Doris Jean, all at home; four sons, Pfc. Ernest P., Germany; Luther G. and Earl Hunter, both of this city, and T/Sgt. John S., France; a sister, Mrs. Lillian Peyton, Amissville, Va; three brothers, Bryant E. Phillips, Charlestown, W. Va.; Morris H., Front Royal, Va., and Warner H., this city, ten grandchildren.

Services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Second Baptist Church, the Rev. J.B. Williams, officiating.

Burial will be in William Howard Day Cemetery.

Friends may call Friday from 8 till 10 p.m. at the Hooper funeral home, 604 Forster street.
