Funeral services for Donald Eugene Cole, 80, of Hudson will be held in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Largent Cemetery.
Mr. Cole was born December 15, 1935 in Angelina County, Texas to the late Eugene and Ida Mae (Brock) Cole and died Saturday, August 20, 2016 at his residence in Hudson.
Mr. Cole retired from the Southland/Champion Paper Mill after 42 years. He enjoyed spending his free time hunting, fishing and horseback riding. He was a member of Loop 287 Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Cole; daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Thomas McMullen; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Judy Cole; daughter and son-in-law, Martha and Larry James; grandchildren, Christopher and Kristin McMullen, Stacy and James Hicks, Rachel Cole, Jessica Cole, Jonathan and Becca James, Kimberly and Casey Scott, and Melissa James; 7 great-grandchildren; 10 brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Carrol C. Cole.
