Peter "Pete" Acklie, 70, funeral will be held Tuesday with burial in Hillcrest cemetery. He was born Nov. 2, 1902 near Plainview to Mr. and Mrs. Peter Acklie. He died Aug. 4 at his home 7 and 1/2 miles southwest of Pierce. He was married on June 3, 1937 to Bernice Nelson at Center. He was survived by his wife, 2 sons: Vernon at Taftville, Connecticut; James at Osmond, 2 grandchildren, 5 brothers: William, Lester, Elmer all at Norfolk; Lloyd at Madison, Charles at Pierce; 3 sisters: Mrs. Bertha McFarland at Portland, Oregon; Mrs. Cecella Brokaw at Plainview, Mrs. Mary Bradshaw at Sioux City, Iowa.
