Ben Acklie, 63, funeral will be held Tuesday. He died early Saturday morning at a Norfolk hospital. He was born Sept. 1, 1904 southeast of Plainview to Mr. and Mrs. Peter Acklie. He married Esther Schwanebeck at Foster on Oct. 17, 1927. He was survived by his wife, 1 son, 1 daughter, 6 grandchildren, 6 brothers and 3 sisters: Peter and Charles of Pierce, Lloyd of Madison, William, Lester, and Elmer of Norfolk, Mrs. Bertha McFarland of Portland, Oregon, Mrs. Cecelia Brokaw of Plainview, and Mrs. Mary Bradshaw of Sioux City, Iowa.
