Leeman was the fourth of six sons born to Americus 'Mack' and Cora Jane (Blackburn) Boatright. He married Matilda 'Tillie' Vaughn in 1928 and they were the parents of one son Frederick M. 'Fred'. He later married Dorothy Ouhrabka.

(Matilda had two children from a previous marriage).

WEST FRANKFORT, Ill. - Leeman Boatright, 83, of Hazelwood, Mo., formerly of west Frankfort, Thursday at St. John's Mercy Medical Center in Creve Coeur, Mo
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Second Baptist Church with burial in Tower Heights Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Sunday at Parker-Reedy Funeral Home and after 10 a.m. Monday at the church.
Mr Boatright owned Boatright's Barber Shop in West Frankfort for 60 years.
He was a member of the Second Baptist Church.
He was born Feb. 21, 1905 in Harco to Mack and Cora Jane (Blackburn) Boatright.
He married Matilda Vaughn. She died in 1975. His second wife, Dorothy Boatright survives.
Other survivors include two sons, the rev. Fred M. Boatright of Kenosha, Wisc., and John T. Anderson of Marion; one daughter, Betty Scheffler of West Frankfort; three brothers, Wilburn and Loyd Boatright, both of Marion, and Walter Boatright of Decatur; 11 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
