Clayton Hydo Sr., 81, of North Platte, passed away at his home on August 19, 2016. He was born April 15, 1935 at Wolbach, Nebraska to Clayton and Theresa (Myres) Barr. He attended school in Grand Island. He enlisted in the Army on November 4, 1952 and was stationed in Korea. He was united in marriage to Doris Emmons on April 8, 1955 at Lebanon, KS. Clayton was employed by the Union Pacific Railroad and retired in 2000. He was a body repair man and painter. He was an Eagles Club Trustee and a volunteer for the VFW. Clayton was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John (Frances) Hydo; sisters, Angela Rezac, Mildred Robinson and Joanne Cram. He is survived by his wife, Doris; son, Clayton L. Jr. (Nancy) Hydo; daughter, Joleen Hydo Bedwell; 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Memorials are suggested to The Senior Center or the Alzheimer’s Walk. Online condolences may be shared at www.carpentermemorial.com. Cremation was chosen. Private family memorial graveside services will be held at Ft. McPherson National Cemetery at a later date. Carpenter Memorial Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
