Angie A. Rezac, 82, of Grand Island, died Monday, July 3, 2006 at her home.
Funeral services will be on Thursday at 10:00 A.M. at St. Mary's Cathedral. The Rev. Richard Piontkowski, and the Rev. Keith Rezac will officiate. Burial will be at the Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4:00 until 8:00 P.M. with a 7:00 P.M. Wake Service at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home.

Mrs. Rezac was born on January 18, 1924 in Cedar Rapids to Adam and Theresa (Meyer) Hydo.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1985; her son, Dan in 1987; one sister, Mildred Robinson; and two brothers, John Hydo and Francis Hydo.

Survivors of the immediate family include two daughters and sons-in-law, Connie & Gary Boltz of Grand Island, and
Pat & Len Fila of Omaha; three sons and daughters-in-law, Gary & Bobbie Rezac and Dick & Jackie Rezac of Grand Island, and Ron & Patty Rezac of Dunlap, California; one sister and brother-in-law, Joan & Jim Cram of Lakewood,
Colorado; one brother and sister-in-law, Clayton & Doris Hydo of North Platte.
Additional survivors include 11 grandchildren, Andrea Boltz, Jason Boltz, Kori Fila, Lisa Munn, Shelly Aki, Melanie Rezac, Stephanie Rezac, Tiana Rezac, Afton
Rezac, Tonya Allen, and D.J. Rezac; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Rezac began her schooling in Omaha. At the age of 8, the family moved to Wolbach.
Mrs. Rezac graduated from Wolbach High School in 1941. After her graduation, she was employed as a bookkeeper at the Vogue Dress Shop in Grand Island. She married Ray ‘Blackie' Rezac on August 17, 1943 in Grand Island. Mrs. Rezac was a homemaker and raised her six children until 1969. From 1969 until 1971 she was employed at the Cornhusker Army Ammunition Plant. She then worked as a
sales associate for J.C. Penney's for over 24 years before retiring in 1994.
She enjoyed crocheting, working word puzzles, and cooking meals for her family gatherings. She was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral, St. Mary's Altar Society. Catholic Daughters, and the Eagles Auxiliary. She also did volunteer
work at the St. Francis Medical Center gift shop.

The family wants to thank Mom's many friends for their thoughts, prayers, phone calls, and visits during
our Mother's illness. We also want to thank St. Francis Hospice for their loving care
