Beloved Cecile Chagnon Meloni of Alexandria, VA died of heart attack complications on August 7, 2016, surrounded by her family.
Born November 13, 1926 in Berlin, NH of French Canadian parents, she was Rivier College Valedictorian. Attended Georgetown Medical School, and met late husband, Dr. Charles Robert Meloni, M.D.

A warm and generous spirit inspired all she did: from being active in Alexandria Medical Society Women's Auxiliary, to creating loving family memories - including her famous German Chocolate Cake. Passionate tennis player, a singer and music lover, avid reader, French cuisine connoisseur, she still found time for a TV cameo on Law and Order SVU.

Survived by three children:
Michele Meloni-Barbosa, Falls Church, VA,
Robert Meloni, Washington, DC and
Christopher Meloni, Los Angeles, CA;
and eight grandchildren.

Visitation at Everly-Wheatley Funeral Home, 1500 W. Braddock Rd., Alexandria, VA, August 19, 2016 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and August 20, 2016 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Funeral Mass August 20, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 1427 W. Braddock Rd., Alexandria, VA, followed by interment at Ivy Hill Cemetery, Alexandria, VA.

Cecile was predeceased by her brother, Raymond G Chagnon.

Cecile has a younger sister, Madeleine Chagnon as noted in the 16th US Census.
