Mrs. Tibbs was born in Wayne County April 2, 1899, the daughter of Jesse & Missouri Rush Hale. She was married to Sanford Tibbs June 22, 1919. He died in 1966.
She was a housewife and a member of the Cisne United Methodist Church.
Surviving are sons, Ralph and Floyd; sisters, Myrtie Spitzner & Doris Ballard; seven grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death was a son, James; sisters, Ruth, Marie, and an infant sister; brothers, Jasper, George, Albert, Jesse Jr., Walter, and Charlie; and her parents.
Services were conducted at the Hosselton-DeSelms Funeral Home with burial in the Cisne Cemetery.
