Born October 2, 1925, in East Liverpool, Ohio, Frank was the son of the late Ira and Carrie Seevers. Frank graduated from East Liverpool High School and went on to serve in the United States Navy during World War II, until he was honorably discharged on May 4, 1946. Frank later worked as a manager for Crucible Steel in Midland, PA, and also served on the Board of Directors for the Tri-State Federal Credit Union.
On August 9, 1969, Frank married his loving wife, Helen Joanne (Sovich) Seevers, who passed away in 2013. Eight years into their marriage they had their only child, Brian.
In addition to his wife and parents, Frank was also preceded in death by a brother, Harold, and a sister, Myra.
Frank leaves behind to cherish his memory his son, Brian, and daughter-in-law, Katie, of Gibsonia, PA, and four daughters from a previous marriage, Linda (Howard) Olver of Joppa, MD, Lorraine (Arthur) DeHey of Rochester, NY, Nancy (Dave) Bachus of East Liverpool, OH, and Susan (Ken) Thomas of Columbus, OH. Words cannot adequately express the level of appreciation and love his children have for the effort he put in, and ultimate success he had, in being a loving and supportive father. Frank also had ten grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and many other family members and friends who loved and cared for him deeply.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, August 12, from 2 to 8 p.m. at the SIMPSON FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, 1119 Washington Ave., Monaca, (724) 728-4000. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Rochester Free Methodist Church, 480 Jefferson Street, Rochester, with the Rev. Mel McRoberts and the Rev. Robert Singleton officiating.
Interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
