Died, on Friday, April 13, 1894, Mrs. Rebecca Dunlap, of Mt. Ayr Iowa. Mrs. Dunlap's maiden name was Jarvis, and she was the daughter of Joel A. Jarvis of Washington township. She was born in Hancock county, Ohio, October, 1870, and removed with her parents to this county in 1872, and grew to womankind in the vicinity of Diagonal. She was married to John Dunlap Nov. 24, 1889, and died aged 23 years 5 months and 11 days. She leaves a husband, and a little son and daughter. Mrs. Dunlap early united with the M. E. church, and always possessed a devotional spirit. In 1890, she joined the Mt. Ayr Baptist church, and proved herself a faithful devoted member. As a christian, wife, mother and daughter, she was faithful and was respected in all these relations in life. The funeral services took place from the Baptist church on Sunday, April 15th, 1894. Her pastor Rev. D. G. Dailey officiated. It was indeed a christian funeral. There is much sympathy for Mr. Dunlap and the motherless children.
