OLLIE MARTIN "PEPPER" FAIRLESS was born on December 6, 1930 in Garfield County, Oklahoma. Ollie's parents were James Thomas Fairless and Beulah Juanita Crawford Fairless. Ollie was the fourth of six children; never married.

Ollie died Monday, August 1, 2016 at V A Hospital in Oklahoma City at the age of 85.

Ollie was the valedictorian of his graduating class at Covington High School in 1948. After serving as a French interpreter in the U S Army during the Korean War, he completed his Bachelor of Arts degree at Oklahoma State University, graduating second in his class.

Ollie was employed at Boeing in Wichita, Kansas and later by Evans Home Furnishings after moving to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Ollie resided at Edmond Mansions in Edmond, Oklahoma prior to his death.

Ollie was preceded in death by his parents, and by his brothers James Otis and Donald Gene Fairless and sisters Melba Nadine "Kitty" Fairless Hopkins and Alice Faye Fairless Hodge.
He is survived by one brother, Tommy LaMarr Fairless and Tom's wife Gaynell, of Yukon; one brother-in-law Warner Jett Hopkins of Enid; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends. He will be missed by all.

Visitation will be at Matthews Funeral Home Thursday 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Service will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday August 5th at Matthews Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Memorial Park Cemetery.
