Moditha Milner

Moditha Milner, 88, passed quietly from this life on Thursday, April 20, 2006. Funeral services will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Kress at 2:00pm Monday, April 24, 2006 with Brother Jim Fox, Chaplain of Vista Care Hospice officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Tulia under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Tulia. Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00pm Sunday, April 23, 2006 at the Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Tulia.
Moditha Clark was born July 9, 1917 to John and Ada ‘Wells’ Clark at Cisco, Texas and grew up in the Plainview, Texas area. On December 24, 1939 Moditha married Kenneth Hartwell Milner. They had two sons, Kenneth Wayne Milner and Jerry Ray Milner. Moditha was a farmer’s wife and spent her time working in the home and on the farm. She enjoyed being a homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother and spent much of her time with her family. Moditha was known for her extraordinary sewing abilities and she loved sewing and cooking for her family and the United Methodist Women’s Bazaar in Kress, Texas where she was an active member for 33 years during that time she enjoyed teaching youth classes and all church activities.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Wayne Clark, two sisters Florene McPherson and Leona Summerville, and her loving husband of 42 yrs, Kenneth Milner. She is survived by her 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Shirley Milner of Panhandle, Texas and Jerry and Jacqueline Milner of Jasper, Missouri, four granddaughters and spouses, Tina and Gary Stocking of Woodward, Oklahoma, Melynn and Kenneth Cross of Amarillo, Randa Milner of Liberty, Missouri, Cathy and Lt. Chad Bollocker of Germany.
Also by two grandsons, Kenneth Glenn and Carleen Milner of Gatesville, TX and Brandy Milner of Purcell, Missouri and 13 loving great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the VistaCare Hospice, 7116 W. IH-40, Amarillo, TX 79106.
