Effie M. Zumbrun, age 78, of Eaton, Ohio, passed away Sunday evening, Nov. 19, 2006, following an extended illness.
She was born Oct. 3, 1928 in Eaton, Ohio to the late Frank and Fanny (Wysong) McClellan.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death on Jan. 23, 1995, by husband Ralph L. Zumbrun, whom she married Dec.7, 1946; sons-in-law, Richard Welch and Elvert Fields, Jr.; great grandson, Maximus Zumbrun; sisters, Catherine McClellan, Margaret Wise and Mildred Plyley; brothers, Robert, Roy and Beryl McClellan.
Survived by children, Margaret Welch of Camden, Ohio, Marvin L. Zumbrun and wife Bonita of Eaton, Beverly Fields of Eaton, Donald L. Zumbrun of Eaton and Joanne Whipp and husband Donald of Lewisburg, Ohio; grandchildren, Rose Shively, Donna Leach, Richard Welsh, John Welsh, Heidi Bjerke, Ben Zumbrun and Mike Hawley; great grandchildren, Edwin Shively IV, Cody Fultz, Dinah Welch, Travis Welch, Kira Bjerke, McKenzie Zumbrun, Drew and Zachary Hawley; great-grandchild, Taylor Shively; sisters, Alice Fugate of Lewisburg and Mary Baker of Oxford, Ohio; brothers, Jim Mc Clellan and John McClellan, both of Eaton and Earl McClellan of Richmond, Indiana.
Funeral services will be held 1 pm Wednesday Nov. 22, 2006, at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens, 3377 U S Route 35, West Alexandria. Pastor Connie Hurst presiding. Friends may call on the family at the funeral home from 11 am to 1 pm Wednesday.
If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton. Interment Sugar Grove Cemetery, West Alexandria.
