Huey Wineinger, 68, died at 9:45 a.m. Tuesday in a Greenville hospital after a sudden illness.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Coker-Mathews-Peters Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. W.O. Majors and the Rev. B.J. Bell officiating.

Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery. Pallbearers include Jimmie Nalls, Charles Wineinger, Ted Wineinger, Gale Wineinger, Dale Wineinger and Jack Wineinger.

Mr. Wineinger was born March 2, 1899, son of the late W.M. and Levina (sic) Palmer Wineinger. He was married to the former Hester Shelton on Aug. 4, 1918, in Greenville.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Hester Wineinger of Rt. 5, Greenville; five sons, Dewey, Ernest, Leon, Art and Valton Wineinger, all of Greenville; two daughters, Mrs. LaVerne Lopez and Mrs. Joan Combs, both of Greenville; one brother, Pat Wineinger of Greenville; one sister, Mrs. Rosa Erwin of Wichita Falls; 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
