Obituaries, Dewey Wineinger

Funeral services for Dewey Wineinger, 70, of Greenville, will be at Coker-Mathews Chapel at 2 p.m. Sunday with Dr. Bobby Renfro officiating. Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery. He died Friday morning at his residence.

Born in Greenville on March 7, 1921, he was the son of Huey and Hester Shelton Wineinger. He married Juanita Shipp in Greenville on Jan. 29, 1943. Mr. Wineinger was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Air Force; retired in 1986 from Walker-McDonald and was a member of Highland Terrace Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Ronnie Dewey Wineinger of Quinlan; two daughters, Sandra Gail Wilburn of Greenville and Sherrie Arlene Hamm of Spring; four brothers, Art Wineinger, Valton Wineinger, Leon Wineinger and Earnest Wineinger, all of Greenville; one sister, Joan Combs of Greenville; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister, Laverne Anderson.

Pallbearers will be John Willabay, James Oliver, Jerry East, Kevin Wineinger, Monty Wineinger and Randy Wineinger.
