JESSE B. ARTHUR
(1895-1965)

Jesse B. Arthur, 69, of 212 Sharp St. died Friday at 7:20 p.m. in Veterans Hospital at Dayton following a two-week illness.

Born Nov. 10, 1895 in South Point, Ohio, he was the son of Joseph and Lizze Sutton Arthur, also native of South Point.

In Marion on July 21, 1923, he married Rebecca Lou Eaches, and she survives.

A Marion resident for 50 years, he moved here from South Point. He was a veteran of World War I.

Other survivors include 3 daughters, Mrs. Sarah Gray of 133 Chicago Ave., Mrs. Mary Fox of RR 3, Marion and Mrs. Margaret Bowman of South Point; 4 sons, Jesse M. of 229 Edwards St., Richard E. of 360 Blain Ave., Virgil W. at home and Luther L. of 761 Lilac Lane; a sister, Mrs. Sarah Miller of Waverly; 28 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 3:30 p.m. in Hughes-Hyll Mortuary. Burial will be in Chapel Heights Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the mortuary after noon Sunday.
