(1924-1997)

Marion - Mary E. Fox, 73, 501 Swiss Dr, died July 21 at 495 Swiss Drive.

Born June 9, 1924, in Marion, she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Rebecca (Eaches) Arthur.

She retired from the former B.F. Goodrich Co. as a braider machine operator after 31 years.

She is survived by a son, Robert L. Fox, Marion; a daughter, Linda L. Houseworth, Marion, three brothers, Richard Arthur, Florida, Bill and Luther Arthur, both Marion; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.

The funeral is 1 p.m. Friday at Boyd Funeral Home with the Rev. David Gossard officiating. Burial is in Chapel Heights Memory Gardens.

Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Quality of Life Hospice.
