Frank LaMar Christensen, age 89, died April 20, 2001 in Bountiful, Utah due to complications associated with a stroke and cancer.

He was born May 23, 1911, in Kanosh, UT to James Franklin and Helen Alice Nadauld Christensen. He married Beulah Roberts June 29, 1932 in Kanosh. The marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple.

He liked to roam the West Millard County desert prospecting for metals and collecting rocks. He also enjoyed his vegetable garden, especially when the tomatoes and corn ripened. His dry wit served him well during his 18 years of employment at the University of Utah Plant Operations. He retired in March 1976 as Heating Maintenance Supervisor.

He is survived by his daughter-in-law, LaRene Christensen; grandchildren, Kelli Christensen, Valori Layton (Alan), Brian (Jennifer) Christensen; great-grandchildren, Joshua Christensen, Nathaniel Christensen, Hannah Layton; brother, Leavitt (Rula) Christensen; and sisters, Jessie (Ezra) Taylor, Ethelyn (Reginald) Grane, Dora Jeanne (Reed) Bushnell. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beulah Christensen; son, Richard Christensen; parents; and sister, Fern Johnson.

Services will be Wed. April 25, 2001, 2:30 p.m. at the Mountain View Memorial Estates Chapel, 3115 E. 7800 S, Salt Lake City, UT. Family and friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment, Mountain View Memorial Estates.
