J. Frank Christensen, 94, died July 14, 1979 in a Murray hospital.

Born June 28, 1885, Kanosh, Millard County, to Joseph Hans and Florence Deborah Leavitt Christensen. Married Helen Alice Nadauld Oct. 25, 1907 in Kanosh, solemnized in Salt Lake LDS Temple in 1912. She is now deceased.

Instrumental in bringing scouting to Kanosh. Worked in scouting program for 34 years. Sang with Swanee Singers for many years.

Survivors: children, Fern Johnson, Frank LaMar, Mrs. Ezra W. (Jessie) Taylor, Mrs. Reed T. (Jeanne) Bushnell, Mrs. R.B. (Ethelyn) Grane, all of Salt Lake City; Leavitt, Kanosh; 13 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren; one brother Artie Joseph, Yarnell, Ariz. One grandson preceded him in death.

Funeral services Wednesday 11 a.m. Butler 1st LDS Ward, 2700 E. 7000 South.
