CONNERSVILLE: Bruce Sleet, 59, 613 W. Fifth died shortly after noon Thursday in the Fayette County Memorial Hospital emergency room. He was taken by his brother after suffering a heart attack on their way to lunch.
He was a native of New Castle and had lived in Connersville since 1932. He was a graduate of Connersville High School, and attended the John Herron Art Institute at Indianapolis and Ann Arbor (Mich.) University. He was a professional musician, and had been employed several years at Hassler's Cleaners. His parents, two sisters, two brothers and two grandchildren are deceased.
Survivors include two daughters, Donna Campbell of Connersville and Vicky Tackett of Chicago; one son, Bruce Ricky Sleet of Connersville; 11 grandchildren; five brothers, Mark of Connersville, Frederick of Dallas, David of Anderson, and John and Ernest, both of Los Angeles; seven sisters, Evelyn Smith of Indianaplis, Marian Hunt and Donna Churchman, both of Oxford, Ohio, Ellen Thompson of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Rosemary Sleet, June Purvis and Gloria Herd, all of Los Angeles; two aunts, two uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral service for Bruce Sleet will be at 2 p.m.
Monday at Miller Funeral Home. Burial will be in Dale Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
