She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 60 years, Ivan H. Olsen in 2001, her son Rick Olsen, her brother Guy Myers, her sister Nadine Chase, and her parents Guy and Alta Myers.
Donna was known for her beautiful crochet work: blankets, clothing, hats, etc. She made something crocheted, usually a baby blanket or hat and booties with loving care for just about every grandchild. She was also known for her candy recipes which she has handed down to her two granddaughters Megan and Selena, who are carrying on the family tradition of making all of the homemade goodies during the holidays.
Mom loved to read, crochet, and go camping and traveling. Mom and Dad spent a lot of time out at "The Property" in Benbow.
Donna is survived by her two daughters Jana Reveles (Carlos) and Lori Howatt (John) of Fortuna; grandchildren: Megan Williams and her fianc‚ Tony Mendez of Redding, Adam Howatt of Wasilla, AK, Rey Reveles of Fortuna, Matt Reveles (Tasha) of Carlotta, Selena Reveles of Washington, John Howatt Jr. of Eureka, Steve (Sondra) Howatt of Redding, and Brian Howatt (Janaye) of Anderson, Indiana; great-grandchildren: Lane Williams, Electrician's Mate/Navy currently stationed in Guam, Carrie Williams, MA/Navy currently stationed in Bahrain, Natalie Helms, Aiden Howatt, Lexie Howatt, Lanie Howatt, Sadie, Eli & Gracie Howatt, Emerald Reveles and Ivan Reveles who was named after his great-grandpa! Donna is also survived by her niece Candy Noll in Washington and by many nieces and nephews in Humboldt County.
