James O. R. brown, 70, died Monday afternoon at a Madison hospital. He lived on Route 5, Blooming Grove.

Mr. Brown was born in Rochester, Minn.

Survivors are five sons, Charles F., J. Archie, and Edward, all of Madison; Herman, Basco, and Lyle, Cottage Grove; four daughters, Mrs. Leoria Austin, S. Beloit, ILL; Mrs. Eleanor Gates, Englewood, Colo.; Mrs. Lavina Steigman and Mrs. Louise Wollin, both Route 5, Madison; four brothers, Paul, Joe, and Charles, all of Oregon, and John, Englewood, Colo.; three sisters, Mrs. Elva Grady, Mrs. Katie Grady, and Mrs. Helen Farnsworth, all of Madison, and 29 grandchildren.

Services will be held at the Gunderson funeral home at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in the Mt. Horeb cemetery.

Another wedding was celebrated at the Handel home in Vermont last week Wednesday. The contracting parties were Miss Kate Handel and Mr. J. Brown of the town of Dun.
