Born in Derry Township on April 20, 1927, she was the daughter of the late John H. Bricker, Sr. and Viola Ney Bricker.
I'm Arlene was a cook for the former Snavely Rest Home, and also worked at the former Woolworth's Five & Dime, and was a presser for the former Hesteco Dress Company. She was a longtime member of Grace United Methodist Church, Hummelstown, where she sang in the choir. Arlene was also a Hummelstown Community Singer. She was an avid bowler, bowling four or five times a week, and enjoyed doing crafts, crocheting and plastic canvas.
In addition to her parents, Arlene was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles T. Brunner; two daughters, Patricia Raye Brunner and Peggy A. Linnane; nine brothers; and three sisters.
She is survived by three daughters, Maxine E. McNaughton wife of Harold G., Judith E. Hupfer wife of Jack C. and Bonnie S. Cobaugh wife of Warren P. all of Hummelstown; two sons, Terry L. Brunner husband of Billie Ann of New Cumberland, and Thomas C. Brunner of Hummelstown; thirteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at 11 AM in the Grace United Methodist Church, 433 East Main Street, Hummelstown, with The Rev. John A. Schaefer, officiating. Interment will be in Dellville Union Cemetery. Viewings will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 from 6 to 8 PM in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, and again on Tuesday in the church from 10 AM until time of the services.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes to have memorial contributions made to Grace United Methodist Church, 433 East Main Street, Hummelstown, PA 17036.
