Born in Harrisburg on August 10, 1948, she was the daughter of Arlene E. Bricker Brunner and the late Charles T. Brunner, who passed away the day before her.
Peggy retired as an Accounts Receivable Clerk from Eureka Lubricants, Inc., Hummelstown; and had worked as a bar tender for the American Legion Post 265, Hummelstown, and the VFW Post 3502, Hershey. She attended Grace United Methodist Church, Hummelstown. Peggy was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 265 and the former Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary Unit 1687, both of Hummelstown. She loved competing in bowling tournaments; and was an avid NASCAR and Philadelphia Eagles fan. Most of important to Peggy was spending time with her family
In addition to her mother, Peggy is survived by one daughter, Leah M. Winters (Lowell Brown) of Grantville; two sons, John M. Linnane, IV (Cindi L.) of Hummelstown, and Corey Linnane (Ginger R.) of Lower Paxton Township; three grandchildren, Nichole L. Corty (Kevin L.,Jr.), Jason R. Winters (Jessica Sites), and Heather L. Linnane ; seven great grandchildren, Austin Gruber, Austin Corty, Tyler Corty, Travis Gruber, Hunter Corty, Kevin Corty III, and R.J. Winters; and one great granddaughter on the way; three sisters, Maxine E. McNaughton wife of Harold G., Judith E. Hupfer wife of Jack C. and Bonnie S. Cobaugh wife of Warren P. all of Hummelstown; and two brothers, Terry L. Brunner husband of Billie Ann of New Cumberland, and Thomas C. Brunner of Hershey;.
In addition to her father, Peggy was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Raye Brunner.
A Celebration of Peggy’s life will be held Wednesday, October 14, 2015, at 7 PM in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, with Pastor JoAnn M. Darrow, officiating. Inurnment will be in Dellville Union Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday in the funeral home from 5 PM until time of the services.
