Edward was the eldest son and 2nd child born to David Williams Esq. 1754-1823 and Jane Jones 1769-1834. The family hailed from Saethon, Llanfihangel Bachellaeth in North Wales.

David and Jane's Children:

Anne Williams (1793-1865)
Dr. Edward Williams Esq. (1794-1848)
John Williams Esq. (1797-1846)
David Williams Esq., MP (1799-1869)
Margaret Williams (1801-1879)
Robert Williams Esq., (1804-1869)
Jane Williams (1808- )
Mary Wynne Williams (1812- 1854)
Dr. Abraham Jones Williams Esq., (1812-1887)

Edward chose for himself the career of medical doctor and surgeon and established his practice at Bala, North Wales.

He married Henrietta Constantia Sidney Dorsett Davies (1796-1864) but it is not known at this time if the couple had any children. Certainly, Edward made no mention of any children in his will (available through Ancestry.com)

Edward was appointed Chief Coroner for Bala in October of 1831.

Note: Penlan Chapel Yard, Pwllheli is identified as Edward's burial location as noted in the Williams Family Pedigree 1914 J. E. Griffith. However, Edward appears in the Llanycil Church Burial register and is likely buried here where his widow was later interred.
