Obituary in The Shreveport Times June 17, 2016:

Coushatta, LA - Mr. Wayne Joseph Browning, 78, passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2016, in Coushatta, LA. Visitation will be held from 5 until 8 PM Friday, June 17, at Osborn Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 2:30 PM on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at First United Methodist Church, Coushatta LA, with Reverend Billy Turner officiating. Interment will follow at Wesley Chapel Cemetery.

Mr. Browning was a graduate of Northeast Louisiana University School of Pharmacy, and was a retired pharmacist.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, John Wesley Sr. and Jean Lowe Browning, of Shreveport, LA. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Richardson Browning; daughters, Debbie and husband, Jerry Brannen, of Texarkana TX, Kelly Browning and Jimmy Garcie, of Frierson, LA and Laura Browning, of Lexington, KY; brother, John W. Browning, of Palm Desert, CA; grandsons, Edward Sidlowe and wife, Jess, of Summerville SC, Andrew Browning, of Lexington KY, Jerry Brannen Jr. and wife, Elizabeth, of Paris TX and Christopher Del Brannen and wife, Allison, of Shreveport; LA; three great grandchildren, Wyatt Sidlowe, Makinley Brannen and Hadley Brannen; and three nephews, John Graber, Sean Browning and Spencer Browning.

Wayne was a longtime member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church in Coushatta, LA and was instrumental in the Behind Bars Ministry of the First United Methodist Church in Coushatta, LA.

The family wishes to thank all of our wonderful friends who helped support us through this journey. Special thanks to our family at Wesley Chapel, First United Methodist Church and Pinegrove Methodist Church. Special thanks go to Dr. San Pedro, NW Nephrology, Promise Hospital and NRMC family.

Pallbearers will be Edward Sidlowe, Andrew Browning, Jimmy Garcie, Jerry Brannen Jr., Del Brannen, John Graber, Sean Browning and Spencer Browning. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Greg Bell, Lt. Col. Lem Jones (retired), Joe Dunn, Steve Fowler, Rev John Kavanaugh and the men of Wesely Chapel.
