Born in Rensselaerville, NY, son of Ariel & Eunice Murdoch

Husband of Sally(or Sarah) and father of William Henry, Ariel Jerome, Charles Wesley, James & Samantha (Murdoch) McDonald, John Nelson Murdoch. He and William Henry died of smallpox in Granby, the cause of death had been on their stone but has been chisled out ages ago.

Served in the NY militia in 1813, became a lay minister

He shares his stone will William Henry, it faces west. The large marker stone on the lot says CARRIER to the east, which is where the roadway is; MURDOCK to the west. The surname is spelled MURDOCH on all the individual stones. It was in this generation that the standard spelling of Murdock switched to Murdoch in the family usage
