Mrs. Emma Margaret Bierly, 82, widow of John L Bierly, died Friday afternoon at 5:30 at the home of her daughter. Mrs. Ivan Sites, Fairfield. She had been ill since February.
The deceased was a lifelong resident of Adams county and was a daughter of the late James and Mary Andrew McSherry. She was a member of the Fairfield United Church of Christ and was a Gold Star mother of World War II.
Surviving are four children, Lewis, Fairfield; Mrs. Ivan Sites, Fairfield; Mrs. John Groft, Hanover, and Willis, Cleveland, Ohio; 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Funeral services Monday at 2:00 at the Wilson Funeral Home, Fairfield, conducted by the Rev. G Howard Koons, Littlestown, a former pastor of the Fairfield church. Interment in Union Cemetery, Fairfield.
