William Dormann was born August 28, 1872 in Lowden, Cedar county, la., and died at Cherokee, la., March 21, 1931 at the age of 58 years, six months and 24 days.
With his parents Mr. and Mrs. Christian Dormann he moved to Osceola county in 1889. He was married to Eva Tibbets, October 5, 1910. To this union six children were born.
His mother and one brother preceded him in death.
He leaves to mourn his loss his wife and six children, his father who is 92 years old, four brothers and four sisters. His brothers and sisters are as follows: Mrs. Fred Kruger of Alpha, Minn.; Fred Dorman, Mountain Lake, Minn.; Mrs. Harry Kruchenberg, May City, la.; Mr B. Gus Hesebeck, Ocheyedan, la.; Mrs. A. Glade, Hartley, Henry Dorman and Ed Dorman, Sanborn, la., and Christ Norman of Melvin, Ia. The brothers and sisters were all present at the funeral. Two cousins Minnie Dorman of Big Rock, la., and Wilhelm Dorman of Lowden, Ia., were also present at the service.
Mr. Dorman has been farming in Osceola county near May City for the past several years. He became ill the first of February and was taken to the hospital where he passed away last Saturday. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Evangelical church in Hartley with Rev. G. W. Cramer in charge. Interment was in Pleasant View cemetery.
